SpamGeek works -- O365 finally got blocked sending too much spam

Daniel Nashed  15 March 2022 09:00:09
Ohhh ... I was wondering that some mails did not reach me any more. And I took a look into my SpamGeek logs.

Over time the SPAM score of the domain got higher and now it was blocking also other senders from that domain.

It got higher because the words I added to the negative list. And the ratio between good and bad mail changed..

I wonder of other
how other anti spam solutions handle O365 when they don't stop letting people send SPAM by their service.
Just also got the error message from a partner who tried to send mails.

O365 got a 550 error and was still trying to send the mail instead of returning it to the sender to let them know in time , that the mail cannot be delivered.

This isn't how SMTP messaging is supposed to work! A 5xx error is a permanent error and not a "nice try -- try harder the next time".

It isn't funny any more and now is affecting my business!

Let customer use the own system for sending SPAM is one side.
But not reacting properly on on SMTP standard error messages are not a good combination!
