Alpine Linux support for Domino Download Script and & Container Environment

Daniel Nashed – 22 September 2024 01:23:05

Alpine Linux can't be used for Domino directly, because Domino requires glibc.

But it can be a great container host to build Domino container images.

There is also a WSL Alpine Linux distribution, which is more resource efficient.

In general Alpine Linux is a very resource efficient, simple and secure distribution.

Setting it up is a bit different but even easier on a desktop once you know it.

Therefore I added Alpine Linux support to the Domino Download script and Domino container setup environment.

You can now use the container build environment convenience script also with Alpine Linux.
