Traveler 9.0.1 IF7

Daniel Nashed  7 November 2014 07:48:22
Finally Traveler 9.0.1 IF7 is available.

I don't see a fixlist yet but I got a fixlist from a customer from the latest hotfix he got.

The IF should fix all attachment issues which came up with IF6, includes the latest Android client and should also have an updated certificate for APNS.

So now you can install 9.0.1 IF7 in combination with Domino 9.0.1 FP2 IF1 which introduces TLS 1.0 in one go with just one downtime.

Still waiting för SSL_Disable_v3=1 ...

@Dietmar, is this comment releated to Traveler or the TLS fix?

IBM is planning to allow to disable SSL 3.0 completely.

But at this stage they want to implement TLS 1.0 first to ensure customers can continue to work when their browsers do not support SSL 3.0 any more.

If the client supports TLS 1.0 and the browser does support TLS_FALLBACK_SCSV the connection should be always TLS 1.0.

But agree allowing to disalbe SSL 3.0 completely at least on server side makes sense! I have also asked about it.

On the other side even Google does still support SSL 3.0 right now on their servers.

Hello Daniel,

Hope your fine and doing. Thanks for your prompt response for the queries have requested

Also please confirm in of your PDF IBM Connect 2014 i have saw not required de-fragmentation for traveler once moved to HA. But in one of the IBM open mic below is Q&A.

Q: Earlier we used to run “Load Traveler -defrag” to defrag our “ntsdb” database. Now since the database is moved to DB2, so do we still need to run this command for maintenance ?

A: Yes this can be used and this command will send commands to DB2 server to “Reorg” every table in DB2 database and thereby performing maintenance on DB2 database.
