iOS 4.1 Update dramatically improves performance on iPhone 3G

Daniel Nashed – 9 September 2010 22:58:09

Telekom Germany still did not send me a new iPhone 4. So I am still using my old iPhone 3G.
The iOS 4.x has many features I don't want to miss any more. But my 3G was sometimes painful to work with due to a lot of performance dops.

As of today afternoon iOS 4.1 is officially available. You should install it asap! This is really a performance update for 3G and I guess also for 3GS models.

Thanks Apple! You made my day :-)

Every time I update my iPhone 3GS mail stops working and I need to remove and reinstall the Exchange Profile - annoying.

@Felix, interesting. I had Oiliver reporting this on Facebook yesterday.

I never had this issue in my environment at all. The only issue I had was the timing issue in iOS 4.0

What happens for me is that I have to sync everything again because the backup does not contain the synced contacts, calendar entries and mail.

But it fills up quickly again in my environment. I always do this when I am in a fast WLAN else it can take a while to get all mail back.

Maybe you can describe what happens exactly and we look into it offline?
