Wow the Mac 64bit Client has been released today!

If you are looking for it, the description and the part number might help.
Already downloaded from Partnerworld. I hope you also find it in Passport Downloads already.

    Hello Daniel,

does this version include FP4 and latest IF1? If not, i assume the availabel versions of this updates are only for the 32bit Client. So we have to wait till we get them as 64bit versions.

    Thank you Daniel!

    @Franz

It's really hard to tell what they did exactly.

The build date of this version is 16.9.2015. So I would assume all fixes are included.

If you look into the plug-in details you see that many of them show a 9.0.2 version number.

So even this is labeled 9.0.1 it's not a normal 9.0.1 build I guess.

I have double checked after downloading. fix central does not have any fixes for the 64bit client.

So I would assume we have the latest. And once we get fixes it is going to be interesting to see the numbering for the fix number ;-)

Could you please post a direct link to the download page? I have already been browsing the Partner World for quite a bit but can't find any 64 bit Notes client.

    Hi Ulf,

Not sure if there is a way to pass an exact download link ... but I posted the exact name of the download package and the product code.

I have not been able to get to it either. There should be a public download link to the eval version of it but I cannot find that either:

IBM Notes 9.0.1 MAC English - Evaluation CIQ7NEN

Anyone have a link for that?

    7Franz Stadler  02.10.2015 19:31:45  IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN )

    @Daniel

Thanks for the research. So let's see what the future will tell.

IBM keeps us waiting for the new releases lately. No 9.0.2 till now, no info why. No official statement on Windows 10 / Edge support till now. And what keeps us guessing ... the version of the newest IBM Verse client for Android is ... 9.2.0.0 ? Maybe we get more info at October 14 in the Open Mic Webcast about What's new on IBM Traveler?

Today I install this release on El Capitan. It works great!

    9John Foy  09.10.2015 16:01:46  IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN )

I have been using Notes 9.0.1 64 bit with El Capitan for a week on 2 macbooks. After about 10 minutes it is not possible to open messages. Errors are "cannot create file" and "calendar profile not found". A restart fixes the problems for about 10 minutes.

    10Daniel Nashed  10.10.2015 8:43:27  IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN )

John Foy: Not sure what is going wrong. But I think you should open a PMR and your reply helps that others might report back here if they are running into the same issue.

When IBM comes back with a solution or statement about it, it would be great if you post your reply.

    Hi Daniel:

    thanks for the post!

After installing "Notes 9.0.1 64 bit" the intermediate dark days, with continuous fiddling with the non-64bit Notes 9.0.1 crashes, some peace has returned!

I am experiencing the same "cannot create file" and "calendar profile not found" errors, like John Foy mentioned, at unpredictable intervals.

Whatever it is: On the so far rather stable Mac OS-X platform I have never experienced so many migration crashes like this time while migrating to "El Capitan". Adobe for example had to fix many bugs in their flagship "Lightroom" immediately after release (and they did it within one week).

I am looking forward to the announced 64bit re-compile tool. Some of the old code is still not working flawlessly.

Fixed my issues by reading and following the original Technote.

When I uninstalled the 32 bit Notes client I did it the "Apple way" by dragging it into trash. IBM says to run the uninstall program before installing the 64 bit client. After running the uninstall program and reinstalling the new 64 bit client all issues are gone.

    Hi,

After installing IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English on El Captain, Sametime embeded chat doesn't work.

Anyone else experience this? Any solutions?

when initiating a Sametime chat session no chat window appears. If someone else starts a chat session ,do not see a window either.

    16Steve K  20.01.2016 14:03:13  IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN )

I have a similar issue as Jayesh, Sametime looks like it works and everyone can see each other but I cannot open Chat windows. I have been working on this for a few days without resolution. I did install Flash and the Chat windows did start working, but the next time I went into Notes I could not get them working again. I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Notes, Java and Flash

    I am using -

    IBM Notes 9.0.1 64bit

    Java ver. 8.71

    El Capitan ver. 10.11.2

I was able to install this version and it is running as expected. I am also experiencing issues with Sametime Embeded - it does not connect (I get a message saying this client is not authorized). Has anyone figured out a solution for this? I have tried everywhere and nothing seems to work.

Whether IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN ) support MAC OS High Sierra 10.13???

    25Daniel Nashed  27.10.2017 12:15:07  IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN )

@Vinoth, Support for high sierra is on the way. IBM is testing and the TN sounds like this is more a verification process that everything works well.

And they say if something does not work you can already open PMRs if you are on 9.0.1 IF11

I did run under 10.13 but after latest 10.13.2 update i can't click anything inside IBM Notes app. It launches, then disappears and comes back after "bring all windows to front" but yet nothing is clickable/usable.

    29Tripp  22.02.2018 4:56:49  IBM Notes V9.0.1 Mac 64 Bit English (CN6VDEN )

    Hi Faith. Hi Boy.

That issue is the Java patch from oracle. See the Mac 64-bit IF13 and IF 14 patches. IF 13 addresses it. Alternately, we rolled by Oracle for a while, instead.

    See SWG21657963 fix list doc.
